Lianhua Technology was founded in 1982. Its founder, Mr. Ji Guoliang, developed a rapid digestion spectrophotometric method for chemical oxygen demand (COD), which achieved the rapid determination of COD in sewage in "10 minutes digestion and 20 minutes output". This research and development achievement was the first in China. In the same year, this research and development achievement was included in the American "CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS" as a new contribution to the world's chemical field. This method became the testing standard of the environmental protection industry of the People's Republic of China in 2007 (HJ/T 399-2007).

In order to provide better services and support, Lianhua Technology officially established its headquarters in Beijing in 2011, and invested in the construction of Lianhua Technology Building, established internationally standardized R&D laboratories and production bases, and established branches in 22 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions across the country. Standardized production lines have been built in Beijing and Yinchuan. The number of technical R&D team members accounts for more than 20%, and many of them have worked in Lianhua for more than ten years. After more than 40 years of development, the research and development team of Lianhua Technology has continuously innovated and upgraded its products to bring users a simpler, faster and more accurate experience. It has successively developed more than 20 series of instruments and professional reagents, consumables and accessories such as cod, bod, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, heavy metals, electrochemistry, and water pollutants, which can measure more than 100 water quality indicators. During this period, Lianhua has achieved many dazzling achievements and honors, including Beijing's "specialized and new small giant enterprise", national key new products, high-tech enterprises, Zhongguancun high-tech enterprises, Beijing's new technologies and new products, and many national and municipal science and technology progress awards. These instruments are widely used in environmental monitoring systems, scientific research institutions, daily chemical light industry, petrochemicals, food processing, brewing, municipal sewage treatment, metallurgical coking, pharmaceutical industry, papermaking, textile printing and dyeing, electroplating, electricity and other industries, serving more than 300,000 customers and institutions, and receiving wide acclaim from domestic and foreign customers.
